Performance
On the performance side, the Nubia Z40s Pro features the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and is built using TSMC 4nm process. Moreover, you get up to 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage with the smartphone.
The Nubia Z40s Pro further packs ten layers of cold-seal heat dissipation materials with 38387mm2 total heat dissipation area. There’s also a large area vapor chamber, graphene sheet, and a thermal paste with synthetic diamonds.

Like the non-s sibling, the Nubia Z40s Pro also comes in two battery options. First, there's a model with a 5000mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. Then, there’s also a variant with a 4600mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. Nubia claims that the 120W model can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in 19 minutes.
The triple rare camera setup of the Nubia Z40s Pro can take 4K video at 120fps. It also supports 8K macro shooting with its 50MP module, which can focus just 2 cm away. In addition, there's a 6 LED flash and a flicker sensor that helps shoot under artificial lighting.

Nubia Z40s Pro price in China starts at CNY 3,399 (~$502) for the base 80W 8/128GB model. Likewise, the 120W model costs CNY 4,299 (~$635) for its base 12/256GB variant. There’s also a limited-edition version of Nubia Z40s Pro called the Ling Cage Edition with a unique anime-based design, which costs CNY 4,699 (~$694) for the sole 12/256GB model.
