Tata Nexon EV is the most-sold electric vehicle in Nepal. In terms of safety, this SUV managed to get a 5-star rating because it has a suitable ground clearance for the Nepalese road, which makes it the best choice of EV on a budget.
Now Nexon EV users are very worried about how much it will cost to replace the battery after the warranty given by the company is over. Also, another important part of an EV is the motor.
It is sometimes heard that there is a discussion about how much it will cost if the motor breaks down and has to be replaced.

Well, to clear the hassle, Tata Motors India has finally unveiled the charge required to replace Nexon EV’s Battery and Motor Replacement cost?
Tata Nexon EV Battery and Motor Replacement Cost
The company said that replacing the battery with a capacity of 30.2 KWh will cost 7 lakh Indian rupees. Converting it to Nepali currency seems to cost 11.2 lakhs. Customs duty and the importer's profit will be added to it.
In addition, the price of the motor replacement is INR 4,47,489/-. This converts to 7.15 lakhs in Nepali currency. Customs and importer's profit is not included in this either.
In this way, if the battery and motor of the Nexon EV need to be replaced, it will cost 18.36 lakhs in Nepalese rupees. After adding tax and business profit, the price will be varied between 21 to 24 lakhs.
Similarly, the Nexon EV’s total Battery and Motor Replacement cost in India will stay around INR 12 lakhs.
And yes, we are also thinking the same as you all have been, i.e. EVs do cost a hell lot of money for maintenance.
Tata Nexon EV
This electric SUV directly inherits the design theme from its fuel-based version, Tata Nexon. Styled with a flatter bonnet and a sharper styling infused with halogen projector headlamps, the Nexon EV looks like a perfect battery-powered SUV.
The Nexon EV is powered by a 95kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor delivering a peak power of 127bhp alongside a peak torque of 245Nm. For driving, two different modes are available: Drive Mode and Sports Mode.
The electric SUV is equipped with a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of 312km. This one takes an hour to charge from 0-80% while using Fast Charger but when on normal charging 8-10 hours is required.
