In a recent Tweet, leakster Yogesh Brar details that the Xiaomi 13 Pro will feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The SD8 Gen 2 will be the successor of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that powers the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Moreover, Qualcomm will launch the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on November 15-17 on the stage of Snapdragon Summit 2022.

Talking about battery and charging, the leakster believes the Xiaomi 13 Pro will pack a 4,800mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. The phone is also said to get a Surge P2 chip that intelligently cares and repairs the cell for prolonged battery life. 

Camera Upgrades

Like the Xiaomi 12 Pro, the 13 Pro will also get a triple camera setup with three 50-megapixel rear cameras. However, the primary 50MP sensor is said to get a massive bump. According to Brar, Xiaomi will use the 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor instead of the Sony IMX707 sensor. 

Sony IMX989 is the same sensor that Xiaomi has for its Xiaomi 12S Ultra. This 50MP 1-inch sensor has a 23mm equivalent focal length, and it was co-developed with Sony for $15 million. Apart from Sony IMX989, the Xiaomi13 Pro is also said to pack the Surge C2 image signal processor (ISP) and Leica's color science.

According to some rumors, Xiaomi will launch its flagship 13 series on December 2022 in China. The phone will also arrive in the global market after it hits the Chinese market.
