2021 Force Gurkha teased ahead of launch | Mahindra Thar rival

Force Motors has recently unveiled the first looks of its upcoming 4x4 SUV, 2021 Gurkha in India. The new iteration of Gurkha off-roader is expected to make its debut in India around the festive season. 

2021 Force Gurkha 

Glancing at the teaser images of the new Gurkha SUV, we can observe a number of updates in the machine. The SUV now comes with a snorkel and a functional roof carrier. However, this feature was also showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. 

Since it's a 4x4 Wheel Drive SUV, it will directly compete against the Mahindra Thar in its segment. 

Moreover, the 2021 Gurkha is likely to arrive in both 3-door and 5-door versions. In the same way, for seating options too, both 4-seater and 6-seater versions could probably arrive.

New Design Updates?

In terms of design upgrades, the new Gurkha iteration will adopt a new set of headlights with LED DRLs, redesigned taillights, a new set of alloy wheels, and repositioned turn indicators.

As for the interior, the SUV might possibly adopt an all-black theme with tough quality material to fight dirt and water. New touchscreen infotainment is likely to be placed with circular air vents and a 3-spoke steering wheel. 

Coming on to the engine part, the 2021 Gurkha could be powered by a 2.6L diesel engine mated with 5-speed manual gear transmission. This big engine might churn out a horsepower of 89bhp alongside a peak torque of 260 Nm. Well, we had expected the machine to produce a little higher horsepower compared to this but let’s wait until Force Motors itself clears us of the confusion. 

All of these power figures and data are only based on our speculations and leaks. 

In terms of pricing, the new 2021 Force Gurkha SUV might arrive at a starting price tag of INR 10 lakhs.
