The automobile sector continued to see a mixed bag of vehicle shipments from the factories to the dealers during the final month of the previous year. Although passenger vehicle sales were consistent, they decreased month over month (MoM).

On Monday, Bajaj Auto Ltd. reported a 22% drop in overall sales to 2,81,486 units in December 2022. According to a statement from Bajaj Auto, the business sold 3,62,470 vehicles overall in December 2021.
- The two-wheeler sales decreased 23% to 2,47,024 units from 3,18,769 units in the corresponding month last year, it was said. When compared to December 2021, when there were 1,27,593 units sold, two-wheeler sales in the domestic market fell by 2% to 1,25,525 units.
- Two-wheeler exports decreased 36% to 1,21,499 units from 1,91,176 units a year ago.
