Best Entry-Level Electric Car in Nepal | Overview

In the last few months, three different electric cars have been launched in the Nepali market targeting different groups of customers. And in this run, Tata Tigor EV which just launched here around a month ago is becoming the talk of the town for entry-level consumers.  

Launched on Falgun 9th, the new Tata Tigor EV is attracting entry-level EV connoisseurs, while Hyundai Ioniq 5, launched around a week ago, is attracting high-class customers who want premium EVs.

Therefore, if we glance at the present scenario, Tata's new EV Tigor is currently the best-selling entry-level car in Nepal and this electric car definitely justifies it. 

Let's talk more about the new Tata Tigor EV now. 

Tata Tigor EV in Nepal

The new Tata Tigor EV was launched in India a few months back while it is also acquiring a great market share in India. 

Well, what are the Key Factors that make Tigor EV unique from the rest in the segment? Let's find it out. 

The 2021 Tata Tigor EV gets a range of 306 km on a single charge during the standard test. This range is certified by ARAI. However, under general conditions, the Tigor EV might go up to 250kms. 

This new EV by Tata boasts a 26kWh battery pack which takes around 8 hours to fully charge using a 15A domestic socket. 

The Tigor EV adopts Ziptron technology which makes its performance top-notch. Its electric motor generates a power of 74bhp alongside a peak torque of 170 Nm. It takes around 5.7 seconds to attain a speed of 0-60 km/hr. This one has a top speed of 120km/hr.

The new Tata Tigor EV gets tons of cosmetic updates. The Tigor EV boasts a new front grille design, bumper, halogen LED headlights and DRLs. It now has a blue accent on its alloy wheels. 

On the inside too, this one features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Herman Audio-system, and an all-digital driver display as well as blue stitched upholstery. 

The new Tata Tigor EV is available in 4 different color options: Signature Teal Blue, Teal Blue Dual Tone, Daytona Grey, and Daytona Grey Dual Tone.

Variants: XE, XM, and XZ+.
