Is Hero planning on discontinuing its popular Pleasure model?

According to the recent rumors surfacing online, it suggests that Hero’s popular scooter model, the Hero Pleasure will now no longer be manufactured further. Seemingly, Hero, the brand itself has also removed the Hero Pleasure model from its official website. Well, this indicates the possible discontinuation of the Pleasure model.
Last year, Hero had launched its new model, named the Pleasure Plus while this also signifies the possibility of the old model, Pleasure’s discontinuation.

The first generation Pleasure scooter was launched as Hero Honda’s Joint Venture decade back. At the time of its launch, the Hero Pleasure was considered as one of the best scooters in the market. During its period, it was way ahead than other popular models back then such as Scooty Pept, Kinetic Zing 80, Bajaj Spirit and more. These models were equipped by around 80cc engine while the Pleasure was the first to hold 102cc powerful engine which further brightened its immense popularity.
The new Pleasure Plus model launched by Hero last year gets the latest BS6-compliant 110.9cc engine which delivers a power of 8.1bhp along with a peak torque of 8.7Nm. In terms of the pricing, the new Pleasure Plus costs around INR 2000 more than the previous Pleasure model.
