The brand-new electric car from Tata Motors has made its official debut in Nepal. The company's small sedan Tata Tigor EV is now available in Nepal through its authorized distributor Sipradi Trading.
The new electric Tigor's external and interior designs have received significant consideration from the firm. The projector headlamp on the new Tigor EV is beautifully made. Updates have also been made to the vehicle's front bumper and grille.
A four-star grade was given to Tata's new electric car in the Global NCAP Safety Test. A few months ago, the company started taking reservations in India.
According to the company, batteries and motors are covered by a warranty for up to 8 years or 160,000 miles. Similar to that, the vehicle's warranty will last up to 3 years or 125,000 miles.
Design and Features
On the new 14-inch stylized steel wheels with a new design, the Tata Tigor EV also has blue highlights within the headlamps. Additionally, it receives updated fog light housing, projector headlamps, and LED Daytime Running Lamps built into the front bumper. There are two color choices for the Tigor EV: Daytona Grey and Signature Teal Blue.
To set the Tigor EV from its petrol-powered sister, Tata also added blue touches to the interior. The rotary dial for the drive mode choice has also taken the place of the gear lever. The front part features a new Tri-Arrow front grille with a Humanity line influenced by electric vehicles.
The Tigor EV is outfitted with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, iRA connected car technology, 4 speakers, 4 tweeters, automated climate control, and a digital instrument panel.
Dual airbags for safety, ABS with EBD, Corner Stability Control, Hill Assist Control, and Hill Descent Control are all included in the vehicle's 4-star rating in the Global NCAP Crash Test.
Performance
Based on Ziptron technology, the new electric Tigor comes with an electric motor and a 26-kilowatt lithium-ion battery with an IP67 rating. It produces 170 Nm of torque and 73.75 horsepower. The battery comes with an 8-year warranty for customers.
A 25kW DC charger can be used to power the new electric Tigor. It can be charged up to 80% faster using a fast charger in just one hour. In a standard outlet, 80% of the charge is completed in 8 hours.
The new electric Tigor, according to the firm, accelerates from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds. Drive and Sport are the two driving modes available for this vehicle. The vehicle has a 172mm ground clearance.
