Design and Display 

CompareDial collaborating with OnLeaks has recently revealed exclusive 5K renders and details for the upcoming Xiaomi 13. The renders of the Xiaomi 13 shows a design change over the last year’s model. 

Xiaomi has opted for a flat display and sides (Xiaomi 12 features curved edges) to give the phone a boxy look. At a glance, the phone looks like the iPhone 14. More on, the phone is said to measure 152.8 × 71.5 × 8.3 mm or 10.3mm thick with the camera bump. 

Besides, the flat display is rumored to have a 6.2-inch size with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the display will be a vibrant OLED screen. 

Other Rumors 

Like the Xiaomi 13 Pro, the vanilla 13 is also rumored to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The SD8 Gen 2 will be the successor of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 that powers the Xiaomi 12 Pro. Moreover, Qualcomm will launch the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 on November 15-17 on the stage of Snapdragon Summit 2022.

Other rumors of the Xiaomi 13 suggest massive camera upgrades with three 50MP cameras on the back. The phone is said to feature a 50MP Sony IMX8 series main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP portrait lens, which will be a significant upgrade from the 13MP ultrawide and 5MP portrait on the Xiaomi 12. 

Xiaomi 13 Launch Date 

According to some rumors, Xiaomi will launch its flagship 13 series on December 2022 in China. The phone will also arrive in the global market after it hits the Chinese market. Moreover, the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will be among the first smartphones to feature Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
