At the Paris Motor Show, Jeep debuted the Avenger electric SUV. The Avenger is the first battery-electric car produced by Jeep, and the firm has now provided information on its range, powertrain, and other features.
The Jeep Avenger could arrive here soon after being on sale in European countries the following year. What is known so far about the Jeep Avenger is as follows.
Overview
In the first half of 2023, Jeep's smallest SUV, the Avenger, will make its European debut. It will be the first vehicle to use Stellantis' STLA Small platform, and there may also be a hybrid electric Avenger that makes use of the CMP platform. On October 17 in Paris, during the 2022 Auto Show, further details regarding the Avenger were made public.
The Avenger, an all-electric Wagoneer, and an all-new Jeep Recon were presented on the same day as the Avenger as part of the company's product campaign to become the top electrified SUV brand in the world. At the Stellantis factory in Tychy, Poland, The Avenger will be manufactured.
In several European nations, customers can now select the fully loaded 1st Edition trim level of the Avenger subcompact SUV, Jeep's first-ever all-electric production model.
The Jeep Avenger 1st Edition is available for purchase from retailers in Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, and Poland.
With more than 10,000 reservations made in just one month after the Jeep Avenger's pre-booking phase began on October 17, the company claims that it has been a terrific success. In the second quarter of 2023, the company Stellantis anticipates making its first deliveries from its Tychy, Poland, facility.

Although the Jeep Avenger is only offered with front-wheel drive, the manufacturer also displayed a 4x4 concept model at the Paris Motor Show earlier this year, indicating that an all-wheel-drive option is at least being investigated.
In addition to the all-electric drivetrain, the Avenger is also offered in Italy and Spain with a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 100 horsepower.
Exterior and Interior design
Despite being the first SUV in the brand's electric portfolio, the Jeep Avenger nonetheless has the traits of a traditional Jeep SUV. Starting at the front, there are rectangular headlamps with integrated linear LED DRLs on either side of the recognizable seven-box front grille.
The bumpers also receive a lot of silver skid plates and black cladding, which enhances the SUV's look of toughness. Thanks to extra features like flared wheel arches, a rear door handle located on the C-pillar, a dual-tone paint job, 18-inch alloy wheels, and smoky tail lamps with a 'X' shape, the Avenger appears appealing and modern.
According to Jeep, the grille is curved so that it will shield the headlamps from damage in the case of a head-on accident. The rear door handles are integrated into the C-pillar, and there is heavy body cladding, and protruding wheel arches, in the side profile.
By Jeep standards, the rear is quite contemporary and resembles the majority of compact SUVs on the market today. According to Jeep, the Avenger is 4008mm shorter than the next Mahindra XUV400 (4200mm). The Avenger's height and width have not yet been disclosed by Jeep.
The Jeep Avenger's interior design is straightforward. The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is integrated with the air conditioning vents, ambient lighting, and a yellow insert in the center of the dashboard, which also breaks up the monotony of the dashboard being entirely black.
Additionally, the front seats are electrically adjustable, and the driver's display is entirely digital. Due to the lack of a transmission tunnel, the majority of the 34 liters of front storage on the Avenger is in the center.

Last but not least, the Avenger is equipped with Level 2 ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, lane centering, traffic jam assistance, traffic sign recognition, a blind-spot monitor, and a sleepy driver warning.
The center console, which has a big 'e' logo in the middle and some hidden storage areas, likewise has a minimalistic appearance. A 10.25-inch digital driver's display, ambient lighting, powered front seats, automatic climate control, and other features are just a few of the features that Jeep will equip the SUV with.
The production-spec model will also include luxuries that the prototype lacked, such as an electric sunroof and front chairs with massaging capabilities.
Performance and battery
Avenger is propelled by a 54kWh battery pack, which, depending on the model, powers either two or four motors. 154 bhp and 260 Nm of torque are the powertrain's maximum outputs. Both two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive drivetrains will be available for the small SUV, according to Jeep.
Additionally, Jeep's Selec-Terrain driving modes, including Normal, Eco, Sport, Snow, Mud, and Sand, which vary based on driving conditions and terrain, will be advantageous to Avenger. WLTP-certified SUVs can travel 400 km on a single charge with sufficient battery capacity, and depending on driving circumstances, that distance can be increased to 550 km.
According to Jeep, the battery pack can be charged from 20 to 80% using a 100 kW DC charger in 24 minutes thanks to the 400-volt electric architecture. An 11 kW AC charger takes 5.5 hours to charge from 0% to 100%.
