Overview
The battery size installed in the Nexon EV, which costs 2 lakh rupees more than the Neta V, is a little bit smaller than the Neta V, but the Nexon's motor power is greater. A battery of 30 KWh capacity has been installed in Nexon, while a 38.5 kWh battery pack has been given in Neta V.
The motor power given in these two cars is 95 kW and 70 kW. In general, a large battery size should be paired with a high motor power, however the Neta V defies this norm.
It is simple to assume that Hozon Motors equipped the vehicle with a low-power motor to extend its range. While the range of the Neta V is said to be around 400 km, the range of the Nexon EV is said to be 312 km.
Even in terms of ground clearance, the Nexon EV looks stronger than the Neta V. While 205 mm of ground clearance is given in this electric car of Tata, it is only 160 mm in Neta V.
Similarly, when it comes to safety, Nexon's combustion engine vehicle got a 5-star rating in the safety test and due to the electric version of the same vehicle, Nexon EV is also placed in the 5-star rating category, while Neta V has not been safety tested yet.
Some important features provided in Nexon EV cannot be seen in Neta V. Features such as automatic rain wiper, foldable ORVM, rear glass wiper, cooled glove box, adjustable steering wheel, height adjustable driver's seat, individual door lock, rear AC vent, and floor space-yak are not given in Neta V.
Being a car built on an EV-dedicated platform, the Neta V's interior and cabin space look very classy compared to the Nexon EV. Because of this, driving in this car feels more comfortable than the Nexon EV.
Cavin air filter, thermal management, and battery heating system are also available in Neta V, but these features are not given in Nexon EV.
Talking about the charging infrastructure, Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd, the official distributor for charging the Nexon EV, has expanded charging stations to 116 locations in the country, while Neta V has no charging stations available so far.
For after-sales service, Sipradi has more than 3 dozen service centers in operation across the country, but since it is a new brand, it seems that it will take a long time for Neta V to expand such a center.
