After making a debut in the foldable smartphone segment last year, Oppo has now launched its second-gen foldable smartphone. The all-new Oppo Find N2 is the successor to the Oppo Find N (Oppo’s first foldable). Moreover, The phone brings an improved hinge, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, and a 120Hz foldable display.

Second-gen Flexion Hinge

The Oppo Find N2's hinge has undergone major advancements. There are now fewer parts  (down from 138 to 100) and aerospace-grade materials used in this modern Flexion Hinge. The phone's thickness and weight have also been decreased without sacrificing durability thanks to lightweight carbon fiber and high-strength titanium alloys.

In addition, the new hinge design shrinks the crease by 67% and makes it less visible. Furthermore, It can hold two halves at any angle between 40º to 125º. 

Display

While folded, the Oppo Find N2 greets you with a 5.54-inch Samsung E6 panel. This AMOLED display has a fast 120Hz refresh rate, 1350 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. 

A 7.1-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with the same E6 screen material serves as the primary inner folding display. This display has a 1080p+ resolution, 1550 nits of brightness, and an adjustable refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The screen also includes UTG (ultra-thin glass) and supports the OPPO Pen stylus, which offers 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. 

Performance

In terms of performance, the  Oppo Find N2 comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 built on the TSMC 4nm process and clocked at up to 3.2 GHz. In addition, the chip also brings 30% better power efficiency and improves CPU and GPU performance by 10%. 

On the software side, the  Oppo Find N2 runs on the Android 13-based  ColorOS 13. Furthermore, it packs a 4520mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

Other Features

For optics, Oppo has teamed up with Hasselblad to develop a mobile phone imaging system with sensor-level color calibration and natural color optimization. The triple camera setup of the Find N2 features a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor with OIS, a 48MP 115° ultrawide, and a 32MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom.  Besides, the camera setup is backed by Oppo’s self-developed MariSilicon X image chip that greatly improves image quality, with clearer details and more realistic colors.

Oppo Find N2 Price and Availability 

Talking about Oppo Find N2 Price, the phone starts at CNY 7,999 (~$1,147) for the base 12/256GB model. There’s also a 16/512GB model of the phone that costs CNY 8,999 (~$1,290). Moreover, the phone will go on sale on December 30 in China. 

Sadly, Oppo is not planning to bring the Oppo Find N2 into the Global market.
