Oppo Find N goes official with a 120Hz foldable display | Price, Specifications, and Features

Oppo has unveiled its first flagship foldable smartphone in China. The new Oppo Find N has been in development for four years and brings a 120Hz foldable AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888 processor, and a unique teardrop-shaped hinge. In this post, we will be looking at the specifications, features, expected price, and availability of the Oppo Find N in Nepal.

Oppo Find N Overview
Design (Hinge)
Oppo believes that the company has solved the “main pain points in previous foldable smartphones, such as the crease in the display and overall durability of the device, by inventing perhaps the best hinge and display designs available today.” The unique teardrop-shaped hinge of the Oppo Find N gives an almost unnoticeable crease to the smartphone. It also allows the phone to fold shut without leaving a gap between the two halves of the display.
The hinge also enables something dubbed FlexForm Mode. Essentially, the hinge can hold the two halves at any angle between 50º to 120º.

Display
While folded, the Oppo Find N greets you with a 5.49-inch AMOLED display with an FHD resolution of 1972 × 988 pixels. The display here supports a 60Hz refresh rate and gets the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
The main inner foldable display is a 7.1-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 2K resolution of 1792 × 1920 pixels. The display here offers an adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz, 1000 nits of brightness, 370 PPI pixel density, and 100% P3 and sRGB color gamut. The screen is protected by UTG (ultra-thin glass) and Oppo rates it for 200,000 folds.

Performance
Oppo Find N packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor clocked at 2.84Ghz under its hood. It is offered with up to 13GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device here runs on the Android 11 based ColorOS 12. Oppo has also made some changes to the UI of the Find N. users can two-finger swipe from the top center region to access split-screen or can use a four-finger pinch to activate floating windows. The transition of using apps from inner display to outer and vice versa are also made smooth and seamless.

Camera
Oppo Find N features a total of five cameras - a triple main camera setup and two selfie cameras. The main triple camera setup consists of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 16-megapixel ultrawide with 123-degree FoV, and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. Both the outer and inner displays house a 32-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. The smartphone is capable of taking 4K videos at up to 60fps.

Battery and Others
Powering this latest foldable is a 4500mAh battery with support for 33-watt fast charging, 15-watt wireless charging, and 10-watt reverse charging. There is both facial recognition and a fingerprint scanner for biometrics. Connectivity options on the smartphone include 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

Oppo Find N Price and Availability
Oppo Find N price in China starts at CNY 7,699 for the base 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. It’ll go on sale from December 23 in China. Sadly, Oppo is not planning to bring the Oppo Find N into the Global market.
