The long-awaited Galaxy S21 FE has finally been unveiled. Today at CES 2022, Samsung showcased the successor of the Galaxy S20 FE, which is also an affordable version of the Galaxy S21. The smartphone brings Snapdragon 888 SoC, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and Android 12 OS.

Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE features a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with an FHD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The display here supports a 120Hz fast refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate in gaming mode. There's also an Eye Comfort Shield with AI-based blue light control.

The smartphone measures 7.9mm thick, weighs 177 grams and features an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It comes in four different color options of White, Lavender, Graphite, and Olive.

Performance

The smartphone comes with two different chipsets depending on the market it is sold in. It is powered by Snapdragon 888 in the US as well as Europe. While most of the Asian countries will get the Exynos 2100 variant. In Nepal, the smartphone comes with Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2100 SoC.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. It runs on the Android 12 operating system along with OneUI 4 out of the box.

Camera

For optics, the smartphone features a triple rear camera setup. It consists of a 12MP primary camera with Dual Pixel AF and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The main camera is then accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide with 123-degree FoV and an 8MP telephoto with 30X Space Zoom.

Upfront is a 32-megapixel camera with 81-degree FoV for selfies and video calls.
