Along with the vanilla X80, Vivo also launched the Vivo X80 Pro smartphone in China. This flagship Vivo device comes in both Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000 processors option. It also packs other flagship specs like E5 LTPO AMOLED display, ISOCELL GNV 1G primary sensor, and more. So, let's go through the specs, features, and expected price of the Vivo X80 Pro in Nepal.

Vivo X80 Pro Overview

Design and Display

Vivo X80 Pro features a 6.78-inch curved E5 LTPO AMOLED panel with a 2K+ resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels. The display here supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 1000Hz touch sampling, HDR, and has 1500 nits of peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 coverage. Vivo was able to bag a DisplayMate A+ rating on its display.

In terms of design, the device has a circular camera island inside of the rectangular platform. Three out of the four cameras are inside the circular cutout, while the fourth lens is placed on the bottom left corner of the rectangular island. The smartphone is offered in Black, Cyan, and Orange color options. It measures 8.78mm thick, weighs 206 grams, and has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Performance

Talking about the processor, the X80 Pro comes in both Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Dimensity 9000 flagship processors option. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. There’s also a self-developed Vivo V1+ chip, which is both an image chip and an independent display chip. The smartphone features an advanced 27-layer VC cooling system that has a 46089 m㎡ total heat dissipation area with a 2961mm² VC Vapor Chamber.

Vivo X80 Pro packs a 4700mAh battery in a dual-cell design with support for 80W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging. Vivo claims that the 80W fast charging can fully charge the device in just 38 minutes. On the software side, it runs on the Android 12-based OriginOS.

Camera

For optics, the Vivo X80 Pro features a quad camera setup tuned by Zeiss. The main camera here is a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GNV 1G sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization). It is then followed by a 48MP Sony IMX598 ultrawide, a 12MP Sony IMX663 portrait lens, and an 8MP telephoto lens with up to 5x optical zoom and up to 60x digital zoom. Upfront is a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity options on the device include 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 (Snapdragon), Bluetooth 5.3 (MediaTek), NFC, and a USB-Type-C port. It features an in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for biometrics. There’s also an independent Hi-Fi chip for impressive audio and high-end sound quality.

Vivo X80 Pro Price and Availability

Vivo X80 Pro price in China starts at CNY 5,499 for the base 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model (snapdragon only) and goes all the way up to CNY 6,699 for the top 12GB + 512GB model. The device will be up for pre-order in the region starting April 29, while the sale starts on May 5. Vivo has not announced any details about Vivo X80 Pro's global availability.
