Introduction
A Korean automotive manufacturer, Hyundai Motor Company, has officially unveiled the updated model of its subcompact SUV – the Hyundai Kona for 2023 The Kona will be offered in four different powertrain configurations in this new generation: all-electric (EV), hybrid electric (HEV), internal combustion engine (ICE), and Sporty N Line. With that said, let’s take a look at the potential features and specs of the 2023 Hyundai Kona.
2023 Hyundai Kona
The styling of the company’s new SUV appears to be inspired by the IONIQ 5. As per the company, the design of all the variants of the Hyundai Kona is sporty and futuristic. Upfront, Kona receives a stretched-out single LED DRL and a Pixelated Horizon Lamp.
In comparison to the preceding model, the upcoming Kona gets a larger and entirely different cabin. According to the manufacturer, the new Kona has a length of 4355 mm, which is 150 mm longer than the outgoing model based on the EV variation. Additionally, there is also an increase in width by 25 mm and wheelbase length by 60 mm in the 2023 models.

In comparison to the model from the previous generation, the new Hyundai Kona is now larger. Based on the EV variant, the new Kona is 150 mm longer than the previous model and has a length of 4355 mm, according to the company.
Talking about the interior, the new generation Kona has a bigger and entirely different cabin than the previous generation. The gets a blue ink-connected car tech and a 12-inch infotainment system that supports both Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay. The gear selection for shift-by-wire will be featured beyond the steering wheel. Likewise, most of the physical bottom has been removed from the vehicle.

2023 Hyundai Kona variants
As mentioned earlier, the 2023 Hyundai Kona will be available in all-electric (EV), hybrid electric (HEV), internal combustion engine (ICE), and Sporty N Line variants. Design-wise, all of them will share the same architecture that has been started with the EV variant. However, EV, HEV, ICE, and N-line model will have distinctive futuristic styling.
The EV gets a distinctive pixel theme that extends to the lower intake grille, rear bumper, 19-inch alloy wheels, and taillights. The HEV and ICE variants will share a skid plate design, black wheel arch cladding, and back plastic bumpers. Different stylistic elements, such as sharper front and rear bumpers, silver side skirts, a blacked-out mirror, and a roof, are added to the Sporty N Line.
However, as the firm has not made the specs of its new car public, the specs of the car cannot be confirmed yet. In the upcoming months, the SUV's other specs and price will be made public.
