Nissan has recently introduced the new iteration of its popular SUV, the Nissan Magnite, in India for the year 2023. The latest version of the Magnite now complies with RDE regulations and boasts additional safety features across all variants. Unfortunately, these upgrades are accompanied by a price hike and the removal of some features.
In this post, we’ll mention the new price of the Nissan Magnite in India. We’ll also discuss the specs and features of this Nissan SUV. So, let's get started.
2023 Nissan Magnite
Design
The Japanese carmaker hasn’t made any changes to the design and styling of the 2023 Magnite.
It flexes a bold and charismatic exterior with muscular lines and dynamic styling. The sleek LED headlight of the SUV resides on the aggressive grille while the front bumper holds the L-shaped LED DRLs with LED fog lamps. Additionally, the car comes with integrated roof rails, a roof spoiler, split tail lamps, chrome-finished door handles, and other noteworthy features.
The Magnite SUV's interior is predominantly black, with accents of silver around the AC vents, steering wheel, and door pads. It features an 8-inch full touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a 7-inch TFT display, push-button start/stop, wireless charging, and a six-speaker audio system.

Engine and Performance
The engine of the 2023 Magnite also remains the same as the outgoing model but has been revised to meet the new emission standards. The powertrain options have not been modified, and the SUV continues to offer a choice between two engines: a 1.0-liter NA Petrol engine and a 1.0-liter Turbo Petrol engine.
The Naturally Aspirated Petrol engine comes with manual transmission and can produce a maximum power of 72 PS at 6250 rpm and a maximum torque of 96 Nm at 3500 rpm. Similarly, the turbo petrol engine churns out 100 PS of maximum power at 5000 rpm and is available with both 5-speed manual and CVT transmissions. However, the torque output of the turbo petrol engine differs based on the type of transmission. With the manual transmission, it can produce 160 Nm of peak torque at 2800-3600 rpm, while with the CVT, it generates 152 Nm peak torque at 2200-4400 rpm.

The fuel economy of the new Magnite also differs based on the engine-transmission combinations. The NA petrol engine with a manual gearbox claims 18.75 Km/L, while the turbo petrol engine with manual transmission offers 20 Km/L. The same engine paired with a CVT delivers 17.4 Km/L.
Features
The updated Nissan Magnite comes with additional safety features such as Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Traction Control System, Vehicle Dynamic Control, and Hill Start Assist functions, which are now standard across all trims. These new inclusions are crucial for enhancing road safety and inspiring confidence among drivers. Moreover, it has scored a 4-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test as well. Other notable safety features include cruise control, 360-degree view monitor, ABS with EBD, hydraulic brake assist, rear defogger, and more.

However, some features have been removed from the Magnite as well. LED fog lights are now only limited to the top-spec XV Premium trim. On the previous versions, the mid-spec XL trim used to feature a rear parcel shelf and two tweeters on top of four speakers. With the latest-gen Magnite, the XL trim loses both the rear parcel shelf and tweeters.
